Katie Croghan

Katie Croghan is an Associate with the firm, and is licensed in Georgia, Virginia and Washington DC. Croghan’s practice is concentrated on civil litigation and insurance law.

Katie Croghan earned her undergraduate degree with high distinction from the University of Virginia in 2010. She received her Juris Doctor magna cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2013 where she was a member of the Moot Court Team, the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law, and the Appellate Litigation Clinic. As a member of that clinic, she argued in front of a panel of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. After graduation, she joined the Washington DC office of a national law firm, where she practiced in the Global Banking and Payments Systems Group. Prior to joining Brannen, Searcy & Smith, LLP, she served as a judicial law clerk in the chambers of the Honorable Judge William T. Moore Jr. in the Southern District of Georgia. In addition to her work in banking and civil litigation, Katie has experience in arbitration proceedings, requests for asylum, and appeals from denials of veterans’ benefits.
